Hope Koerperich joined the Loras College track and field staff ahead of the 2023-24 season and works with the Duhawks' throws contingent.
Koerperich arrived in Dubuque from Upper Iowa University, where she spent the previous four years coaching cross country and track & field. She began her tenure with the Peacocks in 2019 as a graduate assistant before transitioning into a full-time assistant in 2020. In April 2022, she was named the Assistant Athletic Director for Internal Operations, a position in which she handled game day management, facilities, and ticketing as her primary duties.Shortly thereafter, Koerperich was named the Assistant Athletics Director for Recreation and Wellness, a position she held through May 2023.
As a coach, Koerperich led Upper Iowa's throwers to 32 top-five performances in school history, including six broken school records. Four student-athletes earned Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference All-Conference lauerls under Koerperich's tutelage, including one conference champion and an NCAA Division II All-American in the women's shot put.
A native of Dubuque, Koerperich earned a bachelor's degree in physical education from the University of Northern Iowa in 2019. At UNI, she played one season of softball before competing as a member of the track and field team for four years in all five throwing events. Koerperich left her mark at UNI, as she was named All-Conference by the Missouri Valley Conference in the javelin and discus throw, events that she would later go on to leave the university with the second-best marks in school history at the time of her graduation.
Koerperich attended Dubuque Hempstead High School, where she competed as a four-sport athlete in basketball, softball, track & field, and volleyball. In track, she was a three-time state qualifier in the shot put and discus, as well as a three-time Drake Relays qualifier.
