Loras College Athletics

Doug Colin took over head coaching duties at Loras in 1998. He has worked with local swim clubs since 1987, and in 1991 became the founder and director of the Dubuque Area Swimmin' Hurricanes (DASH).

The Dubuque native and Senior High graduate has turned around the program. He led the Duhawks to back-to-back Liberal Arts team titles on the men's side in 2003 and 2004. The 2004 team also won the Iowa Conference title. Coach Colin was the 2003 & 2004 Liberal Arts Coach of the Meet and the 2003 & 2007 Iowa Conference Coach of the Year.

Colin earned his bachelor's degree in business from the University of Iowa.  He and his wife, Marie, have three sons, Benjamin, John, and William.
