Tyler Bass was named Loras College’s Director of Athletic Communication in August 2026.
A 2025 graduate of Loras College, Bass most recently served as an Athletic Communications Assistant at Loras, where he oversaw media relations and communication efforts for multiple varsity sports including, women’s basketball, softball, as well as men’s and women’s golf, tennis, and swimming and diving. His responsibilities included live stats, writing recaps, updating biographies and rosters, overseeing student workers, designing graphics, and managing social media channels.
Bass earned his bachelor’s degree in public relations from Loras College in 2025 and served as an Athletic Communications Student Assistant and intern during his undergraduate. A former four-year member of the Loras men's basketball program, Bass played a key role in the Duhawks 2023-24 NCAA National Tournament run, that included winning the American Rivers Conference (A-R-C) Conference Tournament for the first time under head coach Chris Martin and securing a NCAA Tournament win for the first time since the 2018-19 season.
Bass currently sits inside the top 15 in all-time scoring at Loras, scoring 1,314 points in his four years. He also ranks third in career rebounds at 703, and seventh in career steals at 111. Bass finished his career in the Purple and Gold as a three-time American Rivers Conference All-Conference selection, including First-Team honors his senior year.
A member of College Sports Communicators (CSC), Bass is actively involved in CSC Academic All-District, and All-American voting and is a member of the mentorship program.
