Nugent led the sixth-ranked Duhawks into their NCAA Central Region title defense last Saturday and finished fourth with an all-time personal best time of 24:57.7 to earn All-Region honors for the second time in his career. As a team, Loras repeated as regional champions with a team score of 53 points, besting second place Carleton by 14 points. The Iowa Conference finished with four teams in the top-five and six in the top-10. With their team finish, the men earned an automatic bid to the 2017 NCAA Division III Cross Country Championships in Elsah, Ill. on Saturday, Nov. 18.
