PREVIEWING THE STORM …The Duhawks continue their pursuit of a berth in the Iowa Conference Tournament on Tuesday when they take on Simpson College. The Storm enter with a 10-13 overall record and sit at 1-4 in the Iowa Conference. Their lone victory came against Luther College when they defeated the Norse 3-2. Much like Loras, the Storm are scrapping to earn a spot in the conference tournament. With a loss on Tuesday, those hopes are eliminated.
PREVIEWING THE TITAN CLASSIC … Loras travels to Oshkosh, Wisconsin this weekend for the Titan Classic. Stiff competition awaits Loras as they will play 14th-ranked Carthage College on Friday and UW-Oshkosh on Saturday, who is receiving votes in the latest AVCA poll. The Lady Reds are currently on a four-game winning streak, with their last loss coming against UW-Stevens Point on October 4. Loras' other two opponents on the weekend will be UW-River Falls and Webster College.
NO ROOM FOR ERROR ...As the regular season winds down, the Duhawks have left little room for error if they hope to earn a berth in the 2014 Iowa Conference Tournament. While a loss against Simpson doesn't necessarily end their chances, it certainly makes it more complex.
