STIFF COMPETITION AWAITS DUHAWKS IN WEEK THREE …
Loras kicks off the week with a trip to Naperville, Illinois to take on North Central College on Tuesday night. The Cardinals are receiving votes in the most recent ACVB poll but sit just outside the top 25, with an unblemished record (8-0). After a tough test, the Duhawks take on No. 2 UW-Stevens Point and No. 9 St. Thomas at the Cornell Classic this weekend.
KENTNER NAMED IIAC ATHLETE OF THE WEEK ...
After her stellar performance last week, junior
Kara Kentner was named the Iowa Conference Athlete of the Week as well as Volleyball Offensive Player of the Week. Loras went 3-2 on the week as Kenter posted triple-doubles in three of the five matches. In Saturday's match against Monmouth College, Kentner hit .875, completing 14 kills in 16 attempts.
KENTNER, BLAKE EARN ALL-TOURNAMENT HONORS…

Tara Blake earned the honor after leading the Duhawks to a 2-2 record at the invite. Kentner tallied a team-high 45 kills while hitting .433 on the weekend, without recording a single hitting error. In addition to her stellar weekend on the attack, Kentner added 69 assists, 36 digs, seven aces, and six blocks. Alongside Kentner, Blake balanced out the attack for the Duhawks. The sophomore outside hitter racked up 36 kills, good for a .308 hitting percentage. She added six assists and 46 digs in Loras' four matches.
