STORM LAKE, Iowa (Duhawks.com) - The Loras women's soccer team erupted for eight goals on Saturday night against Buena Vista to improve to 3-2-1 in the Iowa Conference. Senior Danielle Vujovic registed a goal and two assists while seniors Katie Truesdale and Ailish Rispin each recorded a brace in the effort.

TURNING POINT
From the opening whistle, Loras (9-5-2, 3-2-1 IIAC) completely dominated the play, scoring the third minute thanks to a strike from sophomore Lauren Bolnius.

HOW IT HAPPENED
On a night where the Duhawks had their way with Buena Vista (3-12-0, 0-6-0 IIAC), Loras seemingly scored at will. With 28 shots on the night, 16 on target, the Duhawks invoked their dominance. Truesdale added goals in the sixth and 26th minutes and Rispin netted winners in the 34th and 62nd minutes. Sophomore Madie Avery and freshman Mackenzie Anderson scored their first goals of the year while Vujovic earned two helpers and scored a goal of her own in the 58th minute.

UP NEXT
Loras will conclude the regular season next Wednesday against their crosstown rivals, University of Dubuque (10-5-2, 2-3-1 IIAC). The Spartans, who won the Iowa Conference a year ago, earned the sixth and final spot in the conference tournament with a 2-2 draw against Central on Saturday.
