PELLA, Iowa (Duhawks.com) - The Loras men's soccer team made quick work of Central on Saturday, scoring three times in the first half and once in the second to win 4-nil and move to 2-0-0 in Iowa Conference play. In total, nine players recorded points in the rout.
Less than 90 seconds into the match, junior
Alex Bradley found the back of the net for the second time this season. The attacking-midfielder finished off the assist from junior
Jonah Jacke to give Loras the only lead they would need the rest of the night.
Junior
Austin Jacobi added his name to the scoring party in the 27th minute with his third goal of the year. With Loras cruising early, the Duhawks kept the pressure on, resulting in a third goal, this time from sophomore
Ike Bruns in the 37th minute.
Loras pummeled the Central goalkeeper with 14 shots on target. The Dutch, comparatively, mustered three shots on the day with two of them going on frame in the final 33 minutes.
Senior
Mike Gordon increased his goal tally mark to four with his strike in the 83rd minute, sealing the win and moving Loras to the top of the table with Luther at 2-0.
