WINTER HAVEN, Fla. (Duhawks.com) - The Loras Baseball program finished their Florida trip on a sour note, falling to Wheaton College on Monday, 11-1. Senior Anthony Flattery went 2-for-3 with a double in the loss.

Playing in their first morning game of the trip, Loras' bats were quiet from the get go. An opportunity to score early fell by the wayside when senior Adam Kennedy's opposite field drive fell just to the right of the foul line. Wheaton's offense was up to the task from the start, touching up senior Will Petrosky for five hits and three earned runs in three innings.

The backbreaker for the Duhawks were the number of walks they allowed, totaling seven by game's end.

Loras' lone run came in the fourth inning, when junior Lucas Jacque was hit by a pitch with the bases loaded.

The Duhawks return to the midwest before taking on MacMurray and Hamline next weekend in Jacksonville, Ill.
