Women’s Lacrosse Falls at the Hands of the Bucs

BELOIT, Wis. (Duhawks.com) - The Duhawks returned to MWLC play on Saturday, resulting in a 13-4 loss at the hands of Beloit. Ten first half goals created a gap that Loras was unable to overcome. Junior Kaitlyn Kutsch finished with two goals and two draw controls.

An early goal by Beloit's Michelle Dillon was answered by freshman Haley Sundquist with 27:55 left in the first half. The Bucs then ripped off nine unanswered goals to extend their lead to 10-1.

Kutsch put a stop to the rally with a goal with 1:26 to play in the half.

The Duhawks opened the second half with a goal by sophomore Anna Schwalbe 37 seconds in. Her unassisted tally made it 10-3 in favor of Beloit.

The Bucs tallied three more times in the second half to put the game out of reach before Kutsch netted her second of the night with five minutes left.
