LAST MEETING AGAINST LUTHERSenior
Kaitlin Phillips and junior
Terese McMahon led the Duhawks to an 80-78 victory over the Norse back on Jan. 20. Both players contributed 23 points in the game, marking a new career-high for McMahon. Loras held the lead for the majority of the game after ending the first quarter on a 9-4 scoring run. A comeback effort by Luther in the fourth quarter, thanks in part to their long-range shooting, allowed them to tie the game at 78 with 17 seconds remaining. With the ball in Loras' possession, Phillips took the pass from senior
Megan Jones at the top of the key and drove through the lane to make a last second layup and put the Duhawks ahead for good, 80-78.
SCOUTING THE NORSEComing off a berth in the NCAA Tournament a season ago, the Norse have raced out to a 5-1 record in conference play, with their lone loss coming to the Duhawks last week.
