ALL-TIME SERIES AGAINST WARTBURG
Despite securing a victory over the Knights earlier this season, Wartburg still owns a 39-25 record over the Duhawks. The first meeting of these teams dates back to the 1979-80 season in which Loras topped Wartburg, 74-65.

LAST MEETING AGAINST WARTBURG
The Duhawks narrowly defeated the Knights in their last tilt with Wartburg from Lillis Court inside the Athletic & Wellness Center. A late rally lifted Loras over the Knights, 59-55. The Duhawks finished the game with nine unanswered points, which was jump-started by a 3-pointer from sophomore Miranda Chapman. Junior Lori Obendorf dominated both ends of the court with her 7-of-9 shooting for 14 points. She also grabbed nine boards and tallied five blocks. Senior Kaitlin Phillips (12) and junior Kat Cabrera (13) also finished the game with double-digit scoring efforts.

SCOUTING THE KNIGHTS
Wartburg enters the week with a 15-6 overall record and sits at 5-5 in the IIAC. The Knights entered conference play with a 10-1 record and two wins over top-10 teams. Since then, the castle has been compromised by conference foes. Entering Wednesday, Wartburg is on a two-game winning streak. Senior Kailey Kladivo, who has been a dominating force on the court, was absent from their win over Coe last Saturday. Kladivo ranks fourth in the conference in scoring with her 15.7 points per game and third in rebounding with 8.6 per game. Both Loras and Wartburg have shot the ball well this season, with the Knights owning a 42.6 field goal percentage, while the Duhawks are behind them at 42.4 percent.

ALL-TIME SERIES AGAINST BUENA VISTA
With their victory over the Beavers in January, the Duhawks improved to a 31-27 overall record against Buena Vista. The series dates back to the 1987-88 season in which Loras defeated the Beavers in the first meeting, 65-49.

LAST MEETING AGAINST BUENA VISTA
In their second game of the conference season, the Duhawks avoided overtime with last-second heroics from junior Lori Obendorf. Her buzzer-beater off an in-bounds play with less than a second remaining in the contest lifted the Duhawks to a 73-71 victory. The game came down to the final 10 minutes as the Beavers led after each of the first three quarters. Double-digit performances from Obendorf, Phillips, and Cabrera were crucial in closing the gap. Phillips led Loras with 19 points on 7-of-8 shooting from the floor.

SCOUTING THE BEAVERS
With a three-game winning streak, Buena Vista has moved up to number two in the IIAC standings and is currently tied with Loras. With their 13-8 overall record and 7-3 mark in the IIAC, the Beavers have clinched a spot in the upcoming conference tournament. Jasmyn Flynn-Graves ranks sixth in the conference in scoring with 14.8 points per game. Lexi Fisher and Becca Pennington round out the effort with 13 and 11.4 points per game, respectively. These consistent double-digit performances are what places the Beavers atop the conference as a team in scoring with their average 76.2 points per game.

DUHAWKS LEADING THE CONFERENCE
Multiple Duhawks are leading the IIAC in several categories this season. Lori Obendorf leads the conference in rebounds (233) followed by Kaitlyn Philips in the No. 10 spot. Terese McMahon ranks third in field goal percentage (.533) while Obendorf ranks fifth (.520). Philips leads the IIAC in assists with 92, averaging 4.4 per game. Obendorf also leads the IIAC in blocks with 71. Contributions from these Duhawks in these areas have helped Loras secure the No. 2 spot in the conference standings.

MCMAHON MAKING EFFICIENT MOVES
Junior Terese McMahon has used her junior season to move into leadership role. The Lindenhurst, Ill. native has led the Duhawks with a .537 field goal percentage. McMahon has shot .450 or better in twelve games, five of which has been .750 or higher. McMahon does not crumble under pressure either. Against four of the five teams Loras has played that have been ranked or receiving votes, McMahon has shot 62.5 percent or better.

INTERCHANGEABLE OFFENSE
The Duhawks have established a well rounded offense nearing the end of conference play. Four of the five starters are averaging above 10 points per game. There are many reliable options when the team is looking to put points on the board. Along with a team field goal percentage of .424, each member of the Duhawks has been consistently contributing by being patient and waiting for the right shots.

PHILLIPS CLOSING IN ON 1K
Kaitlin Phillips, whom was recently named to the prestigious Allstate WBCA Good Works Team, has had a career decorated with accolades since she stepped foot on the Loras College campus.  Phillips, a three-year starter for the Duhawks and conference champion in 2012-13, continues to make a name for herself in her senior season.  She ranks in the top-10 in the IIAC in both points (12.4) and rebounds (6.6) per game and leads the conference in assists per game (4.2).  For her career, Phillips sits just 38 points away from 1,000. The mark is attainable for Phillips with four games remaining in the regular season plus the potential of postseason play.  If she is able to reach this milestone, Phillips will be just the ninth women's player in school history to do so, an achievement that would further cement her place in Duhawk lore.
