DUBUQUE, Iowa (Duhawks.com) - After being outscored in the third quarter, 18-12, the Duhawks rallied for a fourth-quarter comeback to win their first Iowa-Conference match up on the year. Loras shot a season best 40.9% from behind-the-arc, pacing the Duhawks to a 71-66 win over Simpson. Senior

MOMENTS THAT MATTERED
First Quarter
- Junior Miranda Chapman opened the scoring with a triple, but the Storm responded with a 11-2 run to take back control early.
- A 3-pointer from junior Lauren Stanich ended a 7-0 Simpson run thanks to an offensive board from sophomore Hannah Stokes.
Second Quarter
- Junior Addie Oberman made back-to-back plays for Loras, after a steal and made 3-point shot in consecutive possessions, pulling the Duhawks within one at 22-21.
- Duhawks go up 27-25 after senior Terese McMahon converts her own offensive rebound for a three-point play as the Lindenhurt, Ill. native hit the shot, drew the foul and knocked down the free-throw.
Third Quarter
- Both teams battled in the trenches in throughout the quarter with neither side able to create much of a lead.
- Loras regained the lead after four straight from senior Erin Weaver as the Duhawks took the lead at 45-42.
- A 3-pointer from Simpson's Ellen Gallagher created the largest lead of the quarter with 1:14 to play, but was quickly answered by a triple from Stanich to send the Duhawks to the fourth quarter trailing 51-48.
Fourth Quarter
- Hutchins got the Duhawks rolling early in the period when the Cedar Rapids native knocked down her 3-pointer, tying the game at 51-all with 9:05 remaining in regulation.
- Loras refused to back down, despite numerous five-point deficits throughout the quarter.
- Trailing 62-60, Stanich fought through the traffic to grab the offensive board and toss in the layup.
- On her next trip down the court, Stanich connected on a three to give the Duhawks the lead with 3:26 to play.
- The final scoring play for the Storm came with 1:56 on the clock, missing on their final two shots and committing two turnovers in the waning minutes.
- Trailing by one, Simpson began to foul with just under 90 seconds to play. Down the stretch, Loras was 4-of-6 from the line.

Cyerra Hutchins | The junior had a strong shooting performance on Saturday afternoon, going 5-of-8 from the floor in addition to 4-of-7 from behind-the-arc combining for 13 total points. Hutchins also added six rebounds and five assists.
