DUBUQUE, Iowa (Duhawks.com) - The league-leading Wartburg Knights proved to be too much for Loras to handle on Wednesday night in women's volleyball action, as the Duhawks fell in straight sets, 25-19, 25-13, 25-19. Sophomore
Kayla Kinney finished with seven kills, three service aces and three total blocks to lead the Purple & Gold.

MOMENTS THAT MATTERED
-Loras jumped out to the early lead in set one at 3-2, but Wartburg quickly countered with a 5-0 run to take a 6-3 lead ... A 5-1 run from the Duhawks regained the lead, but it was short-lived as the Knights regained the lead once again and never looked back.
-A kill from Kinney cut the Wartburg lead to two at 20-18 but the Knights closed on a 5-1 run to take the opening frame 25-19
-Wartburg broke set two wide open with a 12-3 run to take the lead at 18-10 before closing on a five-point run to win 25-13

Haley Bergan opened the third set with back-to-back service aces but runs of four and six points by the Knights resulted in a 10-5 lead for the visitors
-Loras managed to cut the deficit to two at 15-13 after a kill by freshman

-Wartburg's 7-2 run resulted in a 22-15 advantage to which the Duhawks responded with a 4-1 streak, prompting a timeout by the Knights
-The break in action stalled Loras' comeback bid and Wartburg closed out the set at 25-19 and the match at 3-0
