No. 17 Women's Soccer Draws with Wartburg

WAVERLY, Iowa (Duhawks.com) - The 17th-ranked Loras women's soccer team was quick to score on Tuesday, but a sixth-minute goal from senior Lauren Bolnius was all that the Duhawks could muster and settled for a 1-1 draw against Wartburg. Bolnius registered her fourth goal and 15th point of the season.

MOMENTS THAT MATTERED
-On Loras' first shot of the night, Bolnius took the pass from Mills and went top-shelf for her fourth of the season
-Wartburg equalized in the 30th minute when Molly Close directed her shot to the left half of the goal following a corner kick
-Following the goal by the Knights, the Duhawks recorded five shots, including three on target, over the remainder of the first half
-After a 5-4 advantage in corner kicks during the first half, Loras held better control in the second half, owning a 5-1 margin
-With regulation coming to a close, the Duhawks made a push for the go-ahead goal with four shots on target in the final 10 minutes
-In extra time, Loras controlled the tempo and recorded seven shots to Wartburg's five … Five of the Duhawks' seven shots were on target, including all four in the second overtime

-Loras is now 4-2-5 against Wartburg since 2011 … Tuesday marked the fourth consecutive draw between the two sides
-Senior Riley O'Neill made her 70th career appearance on Tuesday, the most of any active player
-Bolnius scored her 10th goal of her career and needs one goal to tie last year's mark of five
-Junior Elizabeth Mills extended her point-streak to 10 matches and brought her season total to 25
