Women's Volleyball Sweeps Carroll and Wheaton

DUBUQUE, Iowa (Duhawks.com) - In the first game action for the Loras women's volleyball team in over a week, the Duhawks showed little sign of rust, cruising to a pair of 3-0 sweeps on Saturday over Carroll and Wheaton. Junior Lindsay Lannen finished with nine kills against the Pioneers while sophomores Kayla Kinney and Michelle Budden combined for 14 kills in the win over the Thunder.

Saturday's win against Wheaton marked the third time this season that Mazur had recorded four or more service aces in a match. The Richmond Burton prep added five digs and two assists to her stat line.

UP NEXT
Loras travels to Decorah on Tuesday in a must-win to preserve playoff hopes. Currently standing at 3-4 in conference play, a win against Luther would seal the Duhawks into the sixth-seed. The Norse enter at 15-9 and are 5-2 in the Iowa Conference. First serve from inside the Regents Center is set for 7:30 p.m.
