DUBUQUE, Iowa (Duhawks.com) - The Loras women's basketball earned an 83-50 win over Nebraska Wesleyan on Saturday in the regular season finale. Junior Cyerra Hutchins led the way for the Duhawks with 17 points, followed by senior
Erin Weaver who added 12 points. With the win, Loras secured the No. 3 seed in the Iowa Conference Tournament and host sixth-seeded NWU on Tuesday.
MOMENTS THAT MATTERED
First Quarter
- Junior Addie Oberman converted an and-1 for a 3-point play after a steal from junior Lauren Stanich to put Loras up 13-2
- A 3-pointer from junior Cyerra Hutchins, assisted by sophomore Hanna Stokes, extended Loras' 22-0 run as the Duhawks held the Prairie Wolves scoreless for over seven minutes of the opening quarter.
Second Quarter
- Oberman got things started for Loras less than 15 seconds into the second with a 3-pointer to put the Duhawks ahead 30-4.
- Stanich added a 3-pointer of her own off an assist from senior Erin Weaver, running Loras' lead to 32 at 43-11 with 2:41 left in the half.
- Loras' last four points of the quarter came from Weaver, with assists going to freshman Macenzie Kraemer and Oberman for the 31-point halftime lead.
Third Quarter
- With the game in hand comfortably, Hutchins rattled off five straight, including a 3-point play with 9:18 remaining.
- She finished with eight points in the third quarter alone as one of six to register points.
Fourth Quarter
- Stokes converted another 3-point play for the Duhawks as the Tiffin native grabbed an offensive rebound and drew the foul while converting the putback
- A trey from sophomore Reagan Friend coupled with a layup from junior Kate Moriarty wrapped up the 34-point spread for the Purple & Gold, defeating Nebraska Wesleyan, 81-43.

Erin Weaver | The senior scored a season-high 12 points in her final home regular season game, shooting 6-of-7 from the floor while adding four rebounds.
