DUBUQUE, Iowa (Duhawks.com) - The Loras baseball team (13-23, 6-15 IIAC) dropped the season series against Buena Vista, falling 4-2 on Tuesday night at Petrakis Park. Sophomore

Austin Konagel recorded a pair of singles in the loss.
MOMENTS THAT MATTEREDÂ
- Buena Vista broke through in the fourth inning with a ground out that brought home Kolby Hilgenberg from third.Â
- With the bases load and no outs in the next half inning, Loras took a 2-1 lead on a sacrifice fly from senior Thomas Johnson and an RBI single down the right field line from junior Danny Weis.Â
- Buena Vista responded in the top of the sixth, stringing together a pair of hits in combination with a passed ball to regain the lead at 3-2.
- The Beavers extended their lead to 4-2 in the eighth inning on an RBI single down the left field line by Kendall Candor.Â
- Loras moved the tying run into scoring position in the ninth and brought the winning run to the plate, but was unable to cut into the Buena Vista lead.
