Women's Soccer Clipped by Blazers

COLLEGEVILLE, Minn. (Duhawks.com) - The Loras women's soccer team suffered its first setback of the 2017 campaign on Sunday, falling 3-2 to Saint Benedict. Sophomore Kaylee Coble made a career-high 12 saves while senior Molly Stanfa and junior Elizabeth Mills tallied goals in the effort.

MOMENTS THAT MATTERED
- The offensive barrage began immediately with Coble making the first of her 12 saves in the fourth minute
- Stanfa netted her first collegiate goal 35 seconds after coming on as a substitute
- After CSB answered in the 30th minute, six of the next seven shots in the match with four on target
- The match-winner for the Blazers came as part of a four-shot sequence in which Coble made the first two saves before the third shot caromed off the crossbar and the fourth shot found the back of the net

- The loss is Loras' first of the year and third consecutive to CSB while on the road ... The Blazers now hold the all-time record at 4-3-0
- Cobles' 12 saves is the most by a Duhawk goalkeeper since Maria Siebels' 13 saves against Wartburg on Oct. 11, 2016
- Senior Lauren Bolnius is tied for the conference lead in assists with four
- Coble now ranks second in the Iowa Conference in saves per game at 7.00
