DUBUQUE, Iowa (Duhawks.com) - The Loras men's tennis team opened its 2017-18 season on Wednesday with a 7-2 win over St. Ambrose. After taking two of three in doubles action, the Duhawks claimed five of six in singles on opening day.

NOTABLES
- In his first action since transferring from Division II McKendree, junior Charlie Harris won at No. 1 singles, 6-2, 6-1
- Harris added a win at No. 1 doubles with junior Kevin Murphy, winning 8-2 ... Murphy's win at doubles was No. 26 of his career and the Spokane, Wash. native is now 19-9 at No. 1 doubles
- Murphy won in straight sets at No. 2 singles, 6-0, 6-0
- Junior Sean Baldwin recorded his 23rd win in singles action at No. 4, winning 6-1, 6-0
- Fellow junior Riley Michel also recorded win No. 23 of his career, taking the victory at No. 3 singles, 6-2, 6-1
