WEEK TWO RECAP

The Duhawks suffered a 31-26 setback to Aurora in week two, falling to 1-1 this season … True freshman Noah Sigwarth threw for 303 yards and two touchdowns in his first career start … Junior Walter Ollie finished with 235 all-purpose yards, which included a 95-yard kickoff return for a touchdown … Aurora forced three interceptions out of Sigwarth, but only managed to turn it into three points

KEYS TO THE GAME
As the Duhawks head to Dubuque on Saturday, the Loras defense will have its hands full with a Spartan offense that has totaled 941 yards of offense through the first two weeks … Dubuque returns 17 of its 22 starters from a season ago, including All-Conference quarterback Conor Feckley, who has thrown for 522 yards and five touchdowns … Against Pacific last week, it was the running game that set the table, totaling 296 yards led by Dwayne Allen Jr.'s 169 yards

UNDER THE LIGHTS
Saturday's contest against Dubuque will have a different aura to it thanks to the 7 p.m. kickoff … Since 2011, Loras has played in two night games, including one against the Spartans in 2011 and a second against Augustana in 2014

THIRD DOWN LOCKDOWN
Through two games the Duhawks held opponents to 6-of-27 on third down conversions this season, equal to a 22.2 percent conversion rate … Of the 29 third down plays that the defense has faced, 22 of them have been 3rd-and-5 or longer, which certainly aids in the Loras' ability to turn the ball over back to the offense … The defensive back trio of junior Walter Ollie and sophomores Riley Larson and Logan Sheppard have combined for 16 tackles on passing plays while senior Bob Brophy and sophomore Nathan Riney have totaled 36 tackles on rushing plays.

RISE OF SCHULTE
Freshman quarterback Sigwarth found comfort against Aurora connecting with Senior Josh Schulte on nine different pass attempts … With seniority brings reliability as Schulte leads the Duhawks with 15 receptions, 201 receiving yards and a touchdown entering week three … The play of Schulte throughout the remainder of the season has the potential to have a significant impact on the rest of the offense
