Men's Soccer Stumbles in Overtime to Aurora

WHEATON, Ill. (Duhawks.com) - The Loras men's soccer team suffered an overtime defeat in the 2017 season opener on Friday, falling to Aurora, 4-3. Junior Javi Simon recorded a brace in his first career appearance for the Duhawks after two seasons at UW-Oshkosh.

In his Duhawk debut, the UW-Oshkosh transfer recorded two goals, the second coming unassisted after beating the opposing keeper one-on-one. The junior made a strong impact at the No. 9 position, putting constant pressure on the Aurora backline.
