Women's Volleyball Splits Friday Twin Bill

ST. PAUL, Minn. (Duhawks.com) - The Loras women's volleyball team bounced back from a 3-0 loss to No. 4 Northwestern on Friday to defeat St. Scholastica, 3-1, at the Kathryne Pals Legacy Invitational. Sophomore Kayla Kinney finished with a combined 23 kills between the two matches, including a 16-kill performance against the Saints.

- Against St. Scholastica and in her first start at Loras, junior Paige Griffith recorded 43 assists, the most by a Loras setter since Jenna Erickson recorded 35 against Buena Vista in 2015
- The 16 kills by Kinney and sophomore Abby Allgeyer tied the second-best mark since 2015

The Las Vegas, Nev. native totaled seven kills against Northwestern and added three total blocks along with two digs.
 
FRIEDMAN GROUP PLAYER OF THE GAME – KELLY BOGE
The Wahlert Catholic graduate rattled off 11 kills and a .667 attack percentage to go along with six total blocks, setting a new career-high for the Kieler, Wis. native.

Loras faces Concordia-Moorhead on Saturday, Sept. 2 at the Kathryne Pals Legacy Invitational with the match scheduled to start at 11:00 a.m. On Friday, the Cobbers lost 3-1 to St. Scholastica before defeating Buena Vista, 3-2.
