DUBUQUE, Iowa (Duhawks.com) - Loras College Athletics announced on Friday, Sept. 22, the launch of its interactive mobile app on the iOS and Android platforms. The official app, powered by SIDEARM Sports, is fully integrated into the Duhawks' website platform and gives student-athletes, alumni and fans access to Loras Athletics news and exclusive content on the go.
Since 2014, SIDEARM Sports and the Duhawks have partnered to create a state-of-the-art website, later expanding to include live stats integration and high-definition streaming. Over 473,000 users have visited Duhawks.com, totaling 4.5 million pageviews since its launch. In the past 12 months, mobile users on Duhawks.com have grown from 152,000 to 213,000, resulting in the drive for a mobile platform that can cater to the needs of Loras Athletics followers.

Beginning Friday, fans can download both the iOS and Android versions of the app and tailor their mobile experience to their liking. The Loras Athletic Communications staff will provide catered content to its users through the app including game start and conclusion notifications as well as breaking news. In the coming months, future updates to the app will allow for geo-fence alerts to better deliver game day content to Duhawk student-athletes, alumni and fans.
