WILKES-BARRE, Pa. (Duhawks.com) - The 863 mile commute had little effect on Loras, as the men's volleyball team recorded its third consecutive sweep of the season, topping Wilkes on Wednesday night. Sophomore
Ian Walsh broke the program record, hitting .909 with 10 kills on 11 attempts.

Set One
- With each side nearly matching the other point-for-point, the first set didn't open until a Wilkes service error at 17-all … Loras pounced on the opportunity and scored seven of the next nine points, finishing with kills by junior

- An 8-2 run beginning when the set was tied at 8-all opened the gates for the Duhawks
- Loras closed on an 8-1 run, ending with back-to-back-to-back service aces by junior

- Equal through the first 16 points, the Duhawks opened a small lead with a 6-2 run to take the lead at 15-11
- An 8-2 run brought Loras to within two of match point before Wilkes rallied with a three-point run
- A double-block by Kinney and Walsh made it 24-18 before a Colonels service error put the match to rest.
