DUBUQUE, Iowa (Duhawks.com) - The Loras women's soccer team had its 11-match winning streak snapped on Wednesday night, falling 2-1 to Wartburg. The loss is the Duhawks' first in conference play since a 3-1 setback to Coe on Oct. 14, 2015.

MOMENTS THAT MATTERED
• In the 21st minute, Loras conceded a free kick near midfield, which the Knights served into the box ... The Duhawks were unable to clear it from inside the penalty area, and Wartburg capitalized to take the lead
• A quick sequence of events with 15 minutes to go saw Jenny Wick challenge with a shot on target to earn a corner ... Seconds later, it was Brynn Jacobi's header that went just far enough across the goal line to level at 1-all
• With regulation coming to a close, Wick had an opportunity from 10 yards in the middle of the penalty area, but sent her shot sailing high
• After the restart, the Knights wasted little time working the length of the pitch, ending with the winner after a bangoo from the end line

• The Duhawks are second in the league table with 15 points, one point behind Wartburg, who has a match in hand ... Loras is two points clear of Dubuque, who is currently third with 13 points
• With her goal on Wednesday, Jacobi doubled her scoring total from a season ago, bringing her career point total to 27
