DECORAH, Iowa (Duhawks.com) - The 2018 campaign came to a close on Tuesday night for the Loras women's volleyball team following a 3-0 loss to Luther in the first round of the American Rivers Conference Tournament. In her final match as a Duhawk,
Jenna LaCorte finished with eight kills and 13 digs to lead the team in both categories.
MOMENTS THAT MATTERED
• Loras found itself in a tough spot from the opening whistle, falling behind by six in the first 15 points ... The Duhawks managed to trim the deficit to five at 19-14, but the Norse maintained the upper-hand and quelled the comeback effort, winning 25-18
• The second set brought more of the same for Luther, as the home side raced out to a 9-3 lead and forced a timeout by Loras ... The Norse extended their lead to double-digits at 20-10 before seeing out the remainder to win 25-14

Moira Mixan brought the Duhawks to within one at 19-18 late in set three, the closest Loras had been all night past the opening five points ... Following the Luther timeout, the Norse made it 22-19 before a Duhawk timeout ... After the break, Luther held the rally back, winning 25-22, and the match, 3-0
