DUBUQUE, Iowa (Duhawks.com) - The Loras men's soccer team made easy work of fifth-seeded Central on Tuesday night, scoring twice in the opening 45 minutes.

MOMENTS THAT MATTERED
• Tiernan Talbot recorded the first major chance of the evening in the 12th minute, only to be denied at the goal line
• Tigrio Huerta lit up the scoreboard for the Duhawks after he sent a low, bouncing blast from 30 yards for his third goal of the season
• Loras increased their lead to two after a Central defender inadvertently redirected a cross into the net 
• Javi Simon tacked on a 56th minute insurance goal after finishing the cross sent in by Talbot

NOTABLES
• The win served as No. 600 in Dan Rothert career …Since 1998, Rothert's teams have gone 600-206-50, which includes 330 wins as the men's head coach
• Simon increased his point total to 35 in two seasons with the Duhawks
• With Wednesday's win, Loras advances to its 16th consecutive conference tournament championship
