Women's Soccer Holds on for A-R-C Tournament Win

DUBUQUE, Iowa (Duhawks.com) - It was a game of runs on Wednesday night as the Loras women's soccer team advanced to the American Rivers Conference Tournament Championship with a 3-2 win over Dubuque. Jenny Wick's goal in the 66th minute pushed the Duhawks back in front, proving to be the match-winner.

MOMENTS THAT MATTERED
• In the third minute, Loras garnered its first opportunity as Jenny Wick was tripped up in the box, sending Brynn Jacobi to the penalty spot … Jacobi's attempt was saved, keeping the match scoreless
• Minutes later, Gretchen Schutz was inches from her 11th goal of the season on a shot 40 yards from goal … Instead, she settled for her team-leading ninth assist as Kiki Cabrera fought through traffic to send home the rebound
• The lead would be short-lived as the Spartans quickly retaliated with a penalty three minutes later
Ryleigh O'Brien jumped on the Dutch early in the 58th minute, collecting a ball inside the box after Grace Ross sent it in from midfield
• Four minutes later the Spartans converted their second penalty kick of the night to bring things back level
Jenny Wick brought the momentum back to the Duhawk side after netting her sixth goal of the season three minutes after the Spartan equalizer
