DUBUQUE, Iowa (Duhawks.com) - For the second time in the last three games, the Loras men's basketball team utilized late-night heroics, upsetting third-ranked Augustana on Wednesday night, 74-73.
Ryan DiCanio finished with 25 points and was fouled with no time on the clock, which sent him to the line where he drained both of his shots for the win.

• The Duhawks took an early 12-3 lead but a quick surge by the Vikings gave them a 16-15 lead halfway through the first half… Little did Loras know, the nine-point lead with be the largest of the night for the Purple & Gold

• On the Duhawks' final play, DiCanio split the double team and drove to the basket, drawing a foul in the process, sending him to the line for two shots
• A career 82.4 percent free-throw shooter, DiCanio silenced the arena and drained both of his free-throws, completing the upset
NOTABLES
• Wednesday marked the first win against a top-five opponent since Nov. 23, 2013 against Illinois Wesleyan, who was ranked No. 2 at the time … The win capped a four-day span in which Loras upset No. 5 Wheaton and No. 2 Illinois Wesleyan
• The Duhawks were near perfect from the charity stripe finishing the game 18-of-20 while Augustana struggled, finishing 17-of-26
• DiCanio moved into 16th place all-time in program history, bringing his career point total to 1,228
