Triple Threat Too Much for Buena Vista

DUBUQUE, Iowa (Duhawks.com) - The Loras women's basketball team moved to 2-1 in the American Rivers Conference on Thursday night, following a 73-62 win over Buena Vista. Offensively, the Duhawks were led by the trio of Kari Fitzpatrick, Hanna Stokes and Riley Eckhart, who combined for 56 of the Duhawks' 73 points.

MOMENTS THAT MATTERED
• The Duhawks converted on their first three shots of the game giving them an early 7-4 lead 
• Buena Vista came out showing a 2-3 zone, forcing eight Loras turnovers ... The Duhawks recorded eight offensive rebounds keeping the Beaver lead to one point at the end of the first quarter 
• Following a high scoring first quarter, the Duhawks held Buena Vista to 12 second quarter points while scoring 15 to give them a 36-34 halftime lead 
• On the back of Kari Fitzpatrick's 11 third quarter points, Loras held the Beavers 3-of-14 shooting, which extended the Duhawk lead to nine
• Riley Eckhart opened the fourth quarter knocking down her second 3-pointer off the Taylor Brooks' feed
• With six minutes left to play, Eckhart grabbed the offensive rebound and found a slashing Fitzpatrick for her 20th point of the night

• Fitzpatrick recorded a career-high 20 points and 12 rebounds.
• Eckhart added 19 points and a career-best 11 rebounds (7 offensive)
• Loras held the Beavers to 4-of-22 from distance
• The Duhawks improve to 34-30 all time against Buena Vista
