Buena Vista Tops Duhawks on Senior Day

DUBUQUE, Iowa (Duhawks.com) - The Loras women's basketball team fell to Buena Vista on Saturday, 69-56. Marissa Schroeder paced the Duhawks with a double-double, finishing with 16 points and 12 rebounds.

SERIES NOTABLES
- The Duhawks lead the series 33-28, which includes wins in nine of the last 11      

MOMENTS THAT MATTERED
- A jumper from Macenzie Kraemer assisted by Kelly Barzowski created a 3-point lead for the Duhawks
- Facing a 21-16 deficit with 30 seconds remaining in the first quarter, Loras scored four straight points including two free-throws from Schroeder and a fast-break layup from Addie Oberman
- The Beavers created their biggest lead of the afternoon with a 7-0 run to end the second quarter
- For 8:29, the Duhawks were held to one field goal in the third quarter, falling to a 52-35 deficit 
- Six-straight points for Loras pulled the Duhawks within 12, including four points from Schroeder
- Schroeder went on to score four points in-a-row on her own, setting the game at a nine-point spread with Buena Vista leading 63-54

- Loras' 3-point shooting performance on Saturday was a season-low at 5.6 percent (1-18)
- Schroeder's 15 rebounds mark an individual season-high for the Duhawks

- The Bellevue native recorded the most rebounds in a single game for the Duhawks this season with 15 while adding 15 points to lead the offense
