Women's Lacrosse Wins Season Opener

ROCK ISLAND, Ill. (Duhawks.com) - The Loras women's lacrosse team won its season opener on Saturday, 17-16 over Southwestern (Tex.). Head coach Barbara Vega earned her first win in her debut for the Duhawks.

NOTABLES
- Olivia Flynn and Sarah Hanson each netted four goals for the Duhawks
- Hanson added two assists to finish with six points
- Renata Veljacic tallied a hat-trick and was responsible for the game-winner
