DUBUQUE, Iowa (Duhawks.com) - The Loras men's volleyball team fell to 1-1 in league action on Saturday after dropping a 3-2 decision on Saturday against Augustana. Four Duhawks registered double-digit kill, led by

Set One
- Loras fought its way back from an early 9-4 hole, drawing even at 12-all with
Mihajlo Gomez at the service line
- Augustana held the first match point at 24-23 ... In total, there was 11 set points
- After the Duhawks held set point at 33-32, the Vikings rattled off three straight points to take the opener, 35-33
Set Two
- A kill by Jendra broke the tie at 16-all and gave Loras the momentum to reel off two more points, forcing a timeout out of Augustana
- Back-to-back kills from the Vikings cut the deficit to one, but the Duhawks put set two away with a kill by

Set Three
- Trailing 13-9, Loras began its comeback and scored six of the next seven points, taking the 15-14 lead in the process
- Both sides traded blows up to 21-all before a late push lifted the Duhawks to the set winner at 25-22
Set Four
- Loras enjoyed runs of 6-1 and 5-1 during set four, the latter coming after Augustana had reeled off six unanswered points
- A pair of errors by the Vikings gave Loras the lead at 23-22
- After fighting off three three consecutive set points, Augustana leveled the match at 2-all with a 28-26 win in the fourth
Set Five
- The Duhawks appeared to shake off the set four setback, jumping out to a 4-0 lead
- After a kill by Ross, the Vikings crafted a 5-0 run to make it 13-10
- Facing match point, Gomez registered his 11th kill to keep Loras alive
- The match ended on an attack error, handing Augustana the road win, 15-13 in the fifth
