Flynn's Double-Hat-Trick Propels Duhawks Past Elmhurst

ELMHURST, Ill. (Duhawks.com) - The Loras women's lacrosse team kept up its winning ways, defeating Elmhurst on Wednesday night, 14-9. Olivia Flynn ran her season goal total to 25 with her first double hat-trick of the season, tying her career-best.

- Leading 3-1 with 17:29 remaining in the first, the Duhawks built momentum to the tune of a 6-2 run that carried over into the second half … Four of Loras' six goals were scored by Flynn
- Renata Veljacic tallied three of her four goals in the second half, helping the Duhawks build their lead … Her finale came with 5:21 remaining to increase the lead to 14-8

- Loras outshot Elmhurst 27-17 and dominated on clearing attempts, holding a 85.1 clearing percentage to the Bluejays' 57.5 percent

Flynn raised her career goal total to 63 and career point total to 75 following her six-goal, one-assist performance on Wednesday. Eight of Flynn's 25 goals this season have come via free-position, including three against Elmhurst. Flynn needs one ground ball to reach 100 for her career.
