CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa (Duhawks.com) - The Loras baseball team split Tuesday's doubleheader against Coe, winning game one, 3-2, before dropping the finale, 6-0.
Cole Thompson led the Duhawks in game one with three hits and an RBI. It was his leadoff single in the top of the 10th that provided the winning run.

Game One

Thomas Greffly doubled to center field, stole third base, and scored the Duhawks' first run in the top of the second inning
- In the top of the seventh, a pair of singles by
Luke Fennelly and
Austin Konagel started things for the Duhawks … Fennelly later scored on a single by Thompson
- After the Kohawks scored two runs in the bottom of the eighth,
Tyler Tomaka came in for the ninth inning and struck out five of the last six Coe batters

- With a runner on first, in the second, Greffly doubled, nearly scoring the Duhawks a run, but the Kohawks nabbed the runner at the plate from right field
- In the bottom of the third, the Kohawks rallied for four runs off of four hits, all coming with two outs in the inning
- Coe added two insurance runs in the fifth to extend its lead to 6-0
- The final hope for the Duhawks came in the seventh, as they crafted a rally with three base hits but Coe maintained the shutout to win and take the series two games to one
