DECORAH, Iowa (Duhawks.com) - It was a tale of two halves for the Loras women's basketball team on Wednesday night at Luther. After trailing by seven points at the end of the first half, the Duhawks exploded for 47 second half points en route to their ninth consecutive win and their fourth consecutive conference win.
Kari Fitzpatrick and
Marissa Schroeder led the Duhawk comeback effort with each player recording a double-double.
MOMENTS THAT MATTERED
• The Duhawks wasted no time entering the scoring column thanks to a 7-0 run out of the gates on the back of
Marissa Schroeder's first two points of the game
• Luther upped the defensive intensity from that point forward, holding the Duhawks scoreless for nearly four minutes
• The Norse started the second quarter with a 10-2 run but a quick response by the Duhawks narrowed the Norse lead down to two
• After a quiet first quarter, the Norse put up 26 second quarter points on their way to a seven-point halftime lead

Courtney Schnoor initial shot missed but Fitzpatrick was there for the put back and foul
• The Duhawks poured in 28 third quarter points on 65 percent shooting to give them a seven-point lead heading to the fourth quarter

Riley Eckhart narrowly missed pull-up jump shot but Schroeder was there to clean it up and finish the and-1 layup
