No. 20 Duhawks Dismantle Storm

INDIANOLA, Iowa (Duhawks.com) - The 20th-ranked Loras men's basketball team returned to conference action in a big way on Wednesday with a 24-point win over third place Simpson. Demond George led the charge offensively, finishing with 22 points on 8-of-13 shooting.

MOMENTS THAT MATTERED
• Jordan Boyd collected the Rowan McGowen miss and found McGowen streaking to the hoop for his first two points of the contest
• Loras found its groove early, stretching the lead to 20 points with five minutes remaining in the first half
• Loras opened up the second half with a 31-1 run exttending their lead to 32 points.
• Halfway through the second half, Jake Toman found Cole Navigato for his second dunk of the game.
• With just under four minutes to go JT Ford ran the court and connected with Demond George for the trail three pointer pushing the lead back up to 18.

NOTABLES
• The Duhawks' largest lead of the night was 33 (76-42 / 9:15 2nd)
• Loras totaled a season-high 24 second chance points along with 10 steals
• The Duhawks held the Storm to 26 first half points while hauling in eight offensive rebounds which led to 12 second chance points
