Duhawks Historic Streak Ends at 11

WAVERLY, Iowa (Duhawks.com) - With the regular season slowly coming to an end, the Loras women's basketball team traveled to Waverly to face No. 19 Wartburg in a game with postseason implications. The Duhawks struggled to find an offensive rhythm, resulting in a 68-49 loss, ending Loras' winning streak at 11.

MOMENTS THAT MATTERED
• Kari Fitzpatrick hit a 3-pointer with 26 seconds left in the first quarter but a buzzer-beater by the Knights pushed their lead back to four heading into the second
• Loras and Wartburg both struggled early in the second quarter with each team seeing scoring droughts of two minutes or more
• The Duhawks labored from the floor shooting 9-of-30 leading to a 10-point lead for the Knights at the mid-game break
• Loras was held scoreless for six out the final seven minutes in the quarter … Kari Ftizpatrick broke the drought with a transition 3-pointer from the wing
• The Duhawks quickly found their stroke to start the fourth quarter going on a brief 5-1 run
