Dec. 10, 2019 - A powerhouse for the Duhawks' defense and one of the leading linebackers in the American Rivers Conference (A-R-C) throughout the 2019 season, Loras College senior Chris Miller has been named to the D3football.com All-West Region Second Team, announced on Tuesday.

Miller, a two-time First Team All-A-R-C selection, led the Duhawks with 67 tackles on the season, 18.5 of which accounted for a loss. He led the league with 13.5 tackles for loss in conference play, averaging 1.6 per game. In the season opener against the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire on Sept. 7, Miller had 11 tackle and 5 TFL and in the team's overtime victory against Buena Vista University on Oct. 26, he had 12 tackles, 3.5 for loss, two forced fumbles, and three quarterback hurries.

Miller is the tenth Duhawk in program history to earn All-Region honors. He concludes his career at Loras with 42 TFL, now owning the program record previous held by Matt Ferris (40) set in the 1993-96 seasons. Miller also has 221 career tackles, 12.5 sacks for a loss of 60 yards, and played in all 30 games. 

Ten student-athletes from the A-R-C representing four institutions were named to the All-Region Teams.
