CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa – Seven members of the Loras College football team earned spots on American Rivers Conference (A-R-C) All-Conference teams as released by the league office on Friday.
Senior
Cormaic Flynn grabbed Second Team Defense honors after being an Honorable Mention selection last year. Flynn appeared in all 10 games for the Duhawks, totaling 46 tackles and two tackles for loss. The defensive back recorded a team-high five interceptions and 12 pass break ups.
Tight end
Hunter Guyon received Second Team Offensive honors after a successful senior campaign. The Algonquin, Ill. native racked up 215 yards on 25 catches in 10 games and recorded four touchdowns on the year.
Aiden Konig and
Daniel Giusto both earned Second Team Specialist recognition for the Duhawks. Konig was a perfect 8-for-8 on field goals, including 6-for-6 from 30+ yards. Giusto, who handled the punting responsibilities for Loras, averaged 39.95 yards per punt on 59 attempts, totaling 2,357 yards.
Linebacker
Henry Ivers, offensive lineman
Justin Hayes, and defensive back
Jackson Hutcheson all earned Honorable Mention status.
Ivers totaled 66 tackles on the season and recorded three and a half sacks. Hutcheson finished his season with two tackles in just four games.
Hayes is making his third straight honorable mention appearance. The senior helped the Duhawks gain 526 rushing yards and 3,196 yards of total offense.
