Men's Volleyball Finishes Weekend in Dominant Fashion

DUBUQUE, Iowa (Duhawks.com) - The Loras men's volleyball team continued its historic season on Saturday, adding two more wins to its season total, defeating Adrian and North Park by identical 3-0 match scores. Grant Ooms crafted an elite portfolio, totaling 19 kills, averaging 4.75 per set, while hitting .552.

Loras vs. Adrian
• Duhawks 4-0 run early in the first set after three consecutive service aces by Mihajlo Gomez to take a 5-1 lead
• Adrian cut Loras' lead to two after a pair of errors, 16-14
• Ian Walsh secured the first set for the Duhawks after a service ace
• Loras 3-0 run to take the lead 4-1 early in the second set
• Adrian sparked a 4-0 run of their own to cut the Duhawks lead to two, at 17-15
• Duhawks capped the second set at 25-20

• Since taking over for the injured Alfredo Lopez, Patrick Hollander broke the school record for assists in a three-set match on Friday and one-upped his own performance, resetting the record with 47 assists against Adrian … His 47 assists rank sixth all-time
• As a team, Loras set a new school record against Adrian with 51 assists in the three-set match
• The Duhawks hit .407 as a team on Saturday recording 95 kills in six sets, good for an average of 15.8
