DUBUQUE, Iowa (Duhawks.com) -  The Loras College women's lacrosse team defeated Cornell College in an extra time thriller. The Duhawks netted a total nine goals to overtake the Rams. Renata Veljacic and Olivia Flynn led the Duhawks with three goals a piece. 

MOMENTS THAT MATTERED
• The Rams rocketed out scoring two unanswered goals.
• Olivia Flynn and Veljacic answered back to back goals to bring the score even at 2-2.
• Flynn scored with five minutes remaining in the first half to give the Duhawks the lead
• Cornell got on the board first in the second half to tie it at 3-3.
• Katlynne Wolfe netted her first goal of the night 24:29 left in regulation to push the Duhawks out front 4-3
• The Rams scored to back-to-back goals to take the lead 5-4
• Clare Brunn equalized with an assist from Wolfe 5-5
• Loras and Cornell traded blows within seconds of one another to bring it back even at 6-6
• Veljacic scored her second goal of the night with 14:40 remaining in regulation
• Veljacic netted her third and final goal for the Duhawks with 1:21 remaining in regulation and Cornell equalized with 51 seconds to go
• Olivia Flynn provided the extra time winner for the Duhawks
