CINCINNATI, Ohio (Duhawks.com) - The Loras men's volleyball team defeated the Mount St. Joseph Lions in five sets to earn a spot in the MCVL Tournament.
Mihajlo Gomez led the Duhawks with 22 kills.
MOMENTS THAT MATTERED
• The Lions battled in the first set to earn the come from behind victory in the first set 25-23.
• Loras 2-0 run to force a Mount St. Joseph timeout after extending lead to 19-15.

Mihajlo Gomez for the kill to win the second set 25-21.
• The Duhawks used the momentum of two 3-0 runs and one 4-0 run to take the third set 25-18 after an attack error by the Lions.
• Loras 4-0 run in the fourth set to bring it even and take the lead 12-11 wasn't enough as Mount St. Joseph closed the set 25-22.
• After trading blows with the Lions in the final set, the Duhawks took the set 19-17 and advanced to the MCVL Tournament.
