CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa (Duhawks.com) - The Duhawks appeared in the American Conference Tournament as the sixth seed, and faced Luther College in their first round matchup. Loras fell to the Norse in game one, 11-1, and played Central College in the first elimination game of the tournament. The Duhawks battled hard, but were eliminated by a score of 7-3 and completed their 2019 season.
MOMENTS THAT MATTERED
Game 1: Loras-1 Luther-11
-Luther's offense came ready to play as they jumped out to a 4-0 lead after two innings of play.
-The Duhawks got on the board in the 4th inning on a RBI single by
Dylan Pardoe to score
Danny Paluch.
-Luther resonded with four runs of their own in the bottom half of the 4th to take an 8-1 lead.
-The Norse added more in the later innings to come away with an 11-1 win.
Game 2: Loras-3 Central-7
-Loras went down quickly in game two as Central took a 3-0 lead through four innings of play.
-The Duhawks cut into the Norse lead on a single by Paluch and a sacrifice fly by
Luke Fennelly.
-Luther added another run in the 7th on a sacrifice fly to lead 4-2.
-Fennelly ripped an infield single to score another Duhawk run to trail by one in the 8th.
-The Norse grabbed some insurance in the bottom half of the inning to come away with a 7-3 victory.
NOTABLES
-Paluch had a pair of hits in each game and scored three of the Duhawks four combined runs.

Robbie Agerbeek hit a double in game two to lead the team for the season in doubles with 9.
-Fennelly finished the season without being caught stealing.
