September 1, 2019 (Duhawks.com)- The No. 21 Loras College women's soccer team moved to 2-0 on the season after defeating Gustavus Adolphus, 3-1, on Sunday, Sept. 1.

Jenny Wick lead the barrage of shots, registering 10 of Loras' 34 shots. The Duhawks ended with a 34-13 shot advantage.
"I am proud of our start and how we responded after going down in the first half," head coach
Matt Pucci said. "Getting the equalizer right before halftime let us play our game and took the pressure off going into the second half."
Abby Mullenbach gave the Golden Gusties the 1-0 lead in the 13th minute.
Abby Eriksen equalized in the 41st minute thanks to
Braylin Mensik's throw in and the quick flick from Livy Lansing to earn her first goal of the season.
After the break, Loras added a second goal in the 52nd minute when
Ryleigh O'Brien served it across to find Wick who fought off a defender to deflect the ball off of the Gustavus Adolphus goalkeeper to give the Duhawks the 2-1 lead.
The final goal of the day came from
Payton McDonnell as Wick dished it to McDonnell who chipped the ball over the goalie to hit back of the net for her second goal of the season.
