Dubuque, Iowa (Duhawks.com) - The No. 21 Loras women's soccer team showed it's prowess in a 6-0 win over St. Scholastica Saturday afternoon in the Rock Bowl.
The Duhawks held a 17-5 shot advantage over the Saints.
Kiki Cabrera opened up the scoring the 5th minute when
Jenny Wick sent a corner kick across the box to make it 1-0. In the 10th minute, Wick scored a goal of her own by way of penalty kick.
Brynn Jacobi scored off of
Taylor Trovato's quick give-and-go to find the top corner to extended Loras' lead to 3-0.
Duhawks
Payton McDonnell, Trovato, and
Olivia Lansing all netted penalty kick goals for Loras. Lansing scored the final goal in the 80th minute to close out the scoring 6-0.
Today's six goals is a season high for the Duhawks and the first time this season more than four Duhawks have tallied a goal.
Loras returns to action Sunday, Sept. 8 against non-conference opponent UW-Oshkosh. First kick is scheduled for 1:00 p.m.
