CHICAGO, Ill. (Feb. 15, 2020) - Playing at one of the premier facilities in the Midwest, the Loras College men's tennis team opened the 2020 portion of the schedule with a match against Roosevelt University on Friday at XS Tennis Village but dropped an 8-1 decision against the Lakers.

Freshman Eian Coad picked up where he left off from the fall season with a win at the No. 6 singles position against Christian Medley, taking the first set 6-1. Medley tied the set score 1-1 after winning the second 6-2 but Coad won the tiebreaker, 10-6.

At No. 1 singles, Kevin Blomquist took three games against Kerwin Chong but ultimately fell 6-3, 6-0 and Joe Schneider and Sean Gelski took two games against Medley and David Wolk at No. 3 doubles despite a 6-2 final score in favor of the Lakers. 

The Duhawks return to the court on Sunday, Feb. 16 to play Knox College at the Lakeside Tennis Courts in Galesburg. Matches begin at 11 a.m.
