DES MOINES, Iowa (Apr. 23, 2021) – Competing against the deepest field it has seen thus far with teams from across all divisions, the No. 6-ranked Loras College men's track and field team sent a group to the Kip Janvrin Invite on Friday and claimed two individual titles in the 400-meter dash and long jump.
Mike Jasa continued his success this season as the junior won the 400-meter dash with a time of 48.79, putting nearly a second on the second—place finisher and
Ryan Rogers also grabbed an individual title in the long jump, winning the event with a leap of 6.95 meters.
Ted Kruse added a third-place finish in the 400-meter hurdles with a time of 55.10 seconds as the top Division III finisher and
Jake Willkomm was also the highest Division III finisher in the 200-meter dash as he placed sixth with a time of 22.27 seconds.
Theo Davis placed fourth in the shot put with a heave of 13.60 meters.
The Duhawks return to Waverly, Iowa for the second time this season on Friday, Apr. 30 for the Wartburg College Friday Night Lights Meet. Events begin at noon.
