The Duhawks struck first in the 13th minute of the match on a corner kick with McDonnell taking the kick. McDonnell placed a perfect ball in the box for
Emily Perhats who put it past Central goalkeeper Leann Grandia to head into halftime with a 1-0 lead.Â
The second half saw Loras pile on three more goals to their lead with the first goal of the half coming in the 62nd minute on another corner kick from McDonell, this time to
Savannah Johnson for her first goal of the season. Ten minutes later,
Brynn Jacobi charged the ball down the right side of the field and centered a pass to sophomore
Abby Eriksen who put the shot in the back of the net to pad the Duhawks lead further at 3-0. A foul in the 78th minute gave the Duhawks a free kick, seeing McDonnell record her third assist on the day after sending a pass on the set piece to
Erin Rieckens for her first goal of the season.Â
Loras put heavy pressure on Central's keepers, getting off 38 total shots with 15 on net to Central's five total shots. Eriksen put four shots on net alone for the Duhawks while Jacobi and Johnson each added three apiece. Perhats had two shot on net and
